Dental Assistant / Insurance Coordinator
Job Description
This hybrid role bridges the gap between patient care and administrative excellence:
Clinical (Dental Assisting):
Provide high-quality chairside assistance during various dental procedures.
Capture digital X-rays and perform digital scans/impressions.
Manage instrument sterilization and operatory setup/breakdown.
Offer support to the hygiene team as needed to ensure smooth patient flow.
Administrative (Insurance & Front Office):
Manage patient check-ins, check-outs, and precise scheduling.
Handle insurance verification, claim submissions, and follow-ups.
Lead treatment coordination and facilitate financial discussions with patients.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Salary Range
Part-time $26 - $33 per hour

Shift & Schedule
Type: Part-Time (16–32 hours per week).
Days: Monday through Thursday.
Requirements
- Open Dental
- X-ray / Radiography Certification
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years working in a dental office.
Certifications: Active California X-Ray Certification is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in dental insurance verification/claims; experience with Open Dental (or similar software) is preferred.
Communication: Exceptional organizational skills and a professional, patient-focused demeanor.
Languages: Spanish bilingual skills are a significant plus.
