POSITION TITLE: FOOD SERVICE ASSOCIATE
LOCATION: Hawthorne Middle School
POSTING DATE: March 30, 2026
CLOSING DATE: For best consideration, please apply by April 6, 2026. However, position will be open until filled.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Approximately 29.5 hours per week
DAYS: Nine month employment
SALARY SCHEDULE: Rate of pay will be $13.30 per hour
START DATE: As soon as possible.
JOB SUMMARY: Prepare, distribute, and serve food for breakfast and lunches. Duties will include preparing cafeteria for meal
services. Work requires some physical exertion and heavy lifting (50 pounds - for example - cases of canned
foods, trays of canned food and trays of dishes.)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION: Transfers are available on-line for District employees. Substitute Food Service Workers can apply on-line
on the Internal Application on AppliTracks. All others must apply on the External Application.
BENEFITS INFORMATION: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employee's Retirement are available to Classified employees
who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position. This position is eligible for part
time insurance only.
