Description
Are you certified in instructing wellness exercise classes and can provide group fitness instruction, and educate members on exercise strategies? Do you enjoy helping and motivating others to achieve their health & wellness goals? If so, please consider apply and joining the Wellness team at the Tri-Community Branch YMCA!
Job Duties:
  • Instructs scheduled group fitness classes in a timely manner providing adequate warm-up, exercise and cool-down;
  • Maintain daily class roster and monitor attendance of class participants;
  • Prepare studio, equipment and supplies necessary for class prior to beginning of session;
  • Provide class appropriate music;
  • Utilize a variety of different types of fitness equipment;
  • Secure substitute for class when absent and notify full time staff no less than two hours prior to any substitutions for any reason;
  • Assist members, answer questions and maintain positive exercise environment for participants;
  • Report all problems with equipment, supplies, facility, etc. immediately;
  • Communicate positively with all members, staff and the public;
  • Exercise good professional judgment at all times;
  • File and maintain accident reports
  • Attend staff meetings and training, as required; Perform other related and assigned duties.

Class Instructors needed: Looking for Experienced instructor that can plan and lead exercise activities in multiple disciplines and current fitness trends for example: variations of Aerobics, Yoga, Barre, Spin, HIIT, Dance, Zumba, Step and more.
Applicants must have required current certifications as well as certification in CPR/First AID, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule: Varies; mornings, evenings, weekends-Usually Average 3 - 8 hours per Week
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour. Plus, Employee Assistance Program, access to YMCA facilities (gym, pool ect.) for all YMCA employees and Sick Leave to all Part-Time employees
