To thrive as a Part Time Instructor, you need subject matter expertise, teaching experience, and at least a bachelor's degree (often a master's or higher) in the relevant field. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) such as Canvas or Blackboard and digital presentation tools is typically required. Building connections with students and colleagues within a compressed schedule can be difficult, but staying organized, proactively communicating with department staff, and utilizing available institutional support services can help manage these challenges effectively.
