Monday - Friday

20-25 Hours Weekly

Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Our 100% employee-owned company has been proudly serving Long Island and the New York Metro area since 1992. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouseman to join our dynamic warehouse team.


Job Description:

As a Warehouse Associate at Appliance World, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of appliances within a warehouse environment.


Role Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments of appliances

  • Unload trucks and check the inventory against purchase orders

  • Sort and put away merchandise in the appropriate locations within the warehouse

  • Pick and pack orders for shipment by using hand-held scanners

  • Assemble BBQ Grills

  • Operate forklifts and other machinery to move merchandise within the warehouse

  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized

  • Perform regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies

  • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear

  • Communicate with supervisors and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations

  • Work on other tasks assigned by the management


Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required

  • Preferred prior experience working in a warehouse environment or operating machinery such as a forklift

  • Required excellent organizational skills.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75-125 lbs.

  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team


Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting Hourly/Salary Range $18.00/hr.
