In This Role You'll
  • Perform complex layout inspections and First Article Inspections (FAIs) on precision-manufactured components
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, sine plates, and related inspection tools
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve inspection and manufacturing issues
  • Assist with root cause investigations and continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced inspectors
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 3 years performing advanced layout inspections and First Article Inspections
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
  • Proficiency using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing or developing custom inspection gages
  • Background in precision machining, aerospace, medical device, or other high-tolerance manufacturing environments
