Position Summary

Merriweather Lakehouse Hotel is seeking a friendly, reliable, and service-oriented Part-Time Driver to provide safe and professional transportation for hotel guests and support the Guest Services team. This position plays an important role in creating exceptional guest experiences while representing the hotel's luxury and hospitality standards.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Safely transport guests to and from designated local destinations using hotel vehicles.
  • Provide warm, courteous, and professional service to all guests.
  • Assist guests with luggage and personal belongings as needed.
  • Offer information regarding the hotel, local attractions, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of hotel vehicles.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate transportation logs and schedules.
  • Support the Front Desk and Guest Services team during downtime.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
  • Valid Maryland driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum age of 21 (insurance requirements).
  • Previous driving, valet, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of Columbia and the surrounding areas is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Schedule
