Job description

Part-Time Household & Property Assistant

Location: Summerville, SC
Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week
Position Type: Part-Time / Independent Contractor (1099)

We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated person to provide approximately 20 hours per week of general help around a private residence and property. This is a hands-on position with a wide variety of tasks. The ideal person enjoys staying busy, working independently, and tackling whatever needs to be done that day.

This is not a highly specialized handyman or landscaping position. We’re looking for a dependable, versatile person who is comfortable helping with everyday household and property projects.

Typical Responsibilities

Work will vary from week to week and may include:

  • Lawn and landscaping work
  • Weeding, trimming, planting, mulching, and general yard cleanup
  • Washing, vacuuming, and detailing vehicles
  • Pressure washing
  • Garage and storage organization
  • Moving or assembling furniture
  • Taking items to the dump, donation center, or recycling
  • Cleaning and organizing outdoor areas
  • Basic household maintenance and minor repairs
  • Helping with seasonal projects
  • Picking up materials or supplies
  • Assisting with larger home projects
  • Other miscellaneous household and property tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For

The most important qualities are reliability, initiative, and a good work ethic.

You should be someone who:

  • Shows up when scheduled and communicates well
  • Is comfortable working independently
  • Can see what needs to be done and keep moving without constant supervision
  • Is comfortable working outdoors
  • Can perform normal physical labor, including lifting and carrying
  • Takes care when working around vehicles, tools, and personal property
  • Has reliable transportation
  • Is willing to learn tasks you may not have done before

Experience with landscaping, construction, maintenance, automotive detailing, handyman work, or similar hands-on work is helpful but not required.

Schedule

Approximately 20 hours per week. There may be flexibility in how those hours are scheduled. This could be a good fit for someone looking for consistent part-time work while maintaining another job, business, school schedule, or other commitments.

This is intended to be an ongoing position for the right person rather than a short-term project.

When applying, please provide a brief description of your work experience, general availability, and any experience you have with landscaping, maintenance, vehicle detailing, construction, or other hands-on work.
