Job description

Make a positive impact by providing essential support in a school environment for the 2026–2027 academic year! This contract opportunity is tailored for a dedicated special education professional to work part-time in an elementary setting, serving students with a range of needs. Your expertise will help empower students and create an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure in Special Education (various licensures will be considered)
  • Preferably experienced working with students on the autism spectrum (ASD)
  • Passion for student growth and individualized education
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and adapting instruction to diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted instruction and support to elementary students in special education
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance and individual progress
  • Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that supports all learners
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other professionals
