Access Service Representative - Radiology - Part Time

In this role, you will be responsible for setting the stage for the patient experience, by professionally and efficiently providing patients and visitors with unparalleled customer service. Under direction, maintains a smooth workflow within the assigned department registration areas. Oversees the registration process to ensure patients are registered courteously, confidentially, efficiently, accurately. Interview patient or representatives for financial and demographic data and accurately inputting information into the Hospital's ADT/EHR computer systems. Perform pre-registration and registration functions including but not limited to insurance verification and authorization.

This part-time Access Service Rep (ASR) position will be trained to cover all areas of Radiology and will cover Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Center for Community Health (CCH) locations as needed.

This is a Part-Time position working:

Wednesday 10:00am - 2:30pm

Thursday 10:00am - 2:30pm

Sunday 7:00am - 5:30pm

Preferred Criteria:

  • Experience in a complex clinic setting and/or Patient Access Department
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Required Criteria:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 1 years of registrar related experience
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems
  • Superior customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Standing, walking, sitting, push/pull 10+ lbs. reaching, talking, hearing

Salary Range:

$27.18-$29.17/Hourly
