Math Tutor (Part-time) in the Center for Adult Transition in the Office
Reports To

Functions and Responsibilities
Job Summary
1. Teach Math skills needed for independent living to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities through individualized sessions, group workshops, and/or group tutorial sessions.
2. Create authentic lesson plans using real-life scenarios.
3. Create assessments to measure student skills pre and post tutoring sessions.
4. Engage students in creative ways to increase their skills.
5. Utilize multi-media tools.
6. Assess each student's needs and develop an individualized tutoring plan to meet each student's needs.
7. Document student participation in tutoring and their progress.
8. Establish and maintain an accurate filing system, and a typed guide to office files and their location.
9. Maintain strict confidentiality and security of student and staff records.
10. Prepare routine, special and ancillary reports as required.
11. Perform other related duties as required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate Degree.
