Columbia Memorial Hospital located in the upper Hudson Valley region of Upstate New York, 2 hours north of NY City and 30 minutes south of Albany, NY. It is a 192-bed facility with 39 outpatient Care Centers whose philosophy is "Patients First," emphasizing safety and quality in patient care. Job Description:
Summary/Objective: Columbia Memorial Health is seeking a Part Time compassionate and skilled Rheumatologist to join our outpatient clinic team in Hudson, NY a close-knit rural community. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives by providing high-quality, specialized care in a setting that values patient relationships and community health.
The Rheumatologist will diagnose and manage a wide range of rheumatic conditions in an outpatient setting and play a key role in helping patients manage chronic autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases.
Setting Type (in or outpatient or both): Outpatient office
Facility Description: Rheumatologist Office
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and management of rheumatologic conditions (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, osteoarthritis, etc.)
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, physical therapists, and other specialists to develop comprehensive care plans
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory results and imaging
  • Administer or oversee treatments such as joint injections, biologics, and infusion therapies
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and lifestyle management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community outreach efforts
  • Provide occasional telehealth services to improve accessibility for remote patients

Qualifications:
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in [State] or eligibility to obtain
  • DEA license and BLS certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfort working in a rural, resource-limited setting

Preferred Experience:
  • Completion of an accredited Rheumatology Fellowship
