PART-TIME EXPERIENCED MEDICAL BILLER

  • In-Office Position Only – No Remote Work

We are an established medical billing service seeking a highly experienced Part-Time Medical Biller to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who can learn quickly, work independently, remain focused in a busy office, and maintain a high level of professionalism.

The position will require handling many specialties and working with multiple providers in multiple states.


Schedule:

  • 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (18 hours per week) Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
  • Occasional Fridays 9-3 after fully trained


Specialties:

  • Outpatient Mental Health
  • Neuropsychological Testing
  • Speech Therapy
  • IOP/PHP
  • ADH


Compensation:

  • Starting rate based on experience
  • Monthly payroll
  • 90-day probationary period


Core Responsibilities:

  • Insurance eligibility and detailed verifications for multiple providers and types of service
  • Entering patient demographics
  • Posting charges and patient payments
  • Answering patient calls
  • Administrative tasks using Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Additional billing-related duties as needed

This position involves heavy phone work and requires the ability to multitask effectively while on hold.


Professional Standards & Expectations:

  • Strict adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines
  • Personal cell phone use must be minimal and limited to breaks


Required Qualifications:

  • Medical billing experience is required (mental health experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of insurance workflows and billing processes
  • Proficient with Windows-based computers and internet navigation
  • Fast, accurate typing skills (required)
