Job description

OVERVIEW

St. Thomas Student Voter Ambassador Team 

Voter Ambassador

Term of Employment: September 1st to November 10th, 2026 

CEVEA is St. Thomas's nonpartisan Civic Engagement, Voter Education and Advocacy Taskforce.We are inviting Tommies to join the St. Thomas Student CEVEA Team for Fall 2026. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

St. Thomas Student Voter Ambassador Team will be working with CEVEA leadership to organize and implement: 

  • Voter Registrations Events 
  • Voter Education Events & Programs 
  • Peer Education Class Presentations 
  • Social Media/Marketing Campaigns 
  • Student must complete at least 5 total election engagement activities such as voter registrations, class presentations, or event leadership. 
  • Compose and submit a post-election report to summarize activities and accomplishments 

This is a paid position. Student Voter Ambassadors will have, at maximum, 40 hours of employment during the election season.  

Note: We are ideally looking to hire 2 students from DFC and 2 students from the St. Paul campus.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements: 

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at St. Thomas (including DFC)
  • Willingness to interact with peers in different contexts
  • A commitment to educating peers about the importance of voter registration, becoming an informed voter, and being an actively engaged community member 
  • Not presently serving in a fellowship role for another partisan or nonpartisan organization. 

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
