Opportunity

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services within a correctional healthcare setting serving an adult female population.

This is a flexible part-time opportunity to join a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment in a secure clinical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health disorders.
  • Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychiatric medications.
  • Develop individualized treatment recommendations and care plans.
  • Document evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up visits in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Provide recommendations for additional behavioral health services, hospitalization, or specialty care when appropriate.
  • Participate in emergency consultations and other clinical responsibilities as needed.
  • Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with professional standards and applicable policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency.
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry.
  • Active Virginia medical license.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Current National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
