Job description

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an experienced Echo/Vascular/Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. This role involves independently operating sonographic equipment and performing diagnostic examinations, while effectively communicating results to healthcare providers. You will oversee daily sonography department operations, including patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate program activities to ensure consistent, patient-centered care and efficient department operations aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of sonography programs, protocols, and policies.
  • Perform all requested sonographic exams as ordered by physicians, prepare preliminary reports, and communicate findings appropriately.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance healthcare initiatives and participate in professional groups and committees.
  • Manage staff relationships, foster teamwork, and provide leadership through coaching, delegation, and performance management.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure accurate documentation and data integrity.
  • Drive innovation by applying research and creativity to enhance departmental services.
  • Adapt to changes in workload and workflow to maintain productivity and efficiency.
  • Engage in strategic planning and contribute to departmental goals and future challenges.
Education Graduation from a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required. Experience At least three years of experience is preferred, with expertise in routine, vascular, obstetric, and breast ultrasonography highly desirable. Licenses and Certifications Active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in relevant specialties is preferred. Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of sonography practices and clinical skills, including the ability to perform, evaluate, and teach sonographic tasks.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and community members.
  • Proficiency with current technology, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and independent judgment capabilities.
This part-time position offers a schedule of Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, providing a balanced work-life opportunity.
