Title: Cafeteria Worker: Part-Time
Qualifications:- Be friendly to customers (students and staff) and enjoys serving others
- Ability to see what needs to be done and assist where needed
- Ability and willingness to cross-train for various duties/responsibilities in the kitchen/cafeteria
- Physical ability to walk, stoop, stand, twist, and squat on a constant basis
- Capable of lifting 25 - 50 lbs. occasionally
- Maintain excellent attendance
- Ability to get along well with others
- Have strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a team to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to follow oral and/or written directions
Duties and Responsibilities:- Food preparation, serving, and clean up
- Participate in meetings as required
- Promote a positive and professional image of the district at all times
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures and guidelines of Fairfield Community Schools
- Other duties as assigned by building principal and/or supervisor
Requirements:- Must be 18 years of age
- Have at least a high school diploma or GED
- Maintain 12 hours of food safety training yearly and have or obtain Serve Safe Certification
- Complete and pass an Expanded Criminal Background and CPS Check
Compensation:- Competitive pay based upon experience
Contracted days: - 180 school days plus any required classified staff workdays per school year
Hours:10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Reports to: Building Principal and/or Building Supervisor and Cafeteria Manager
