Part-Time Intern - Project Administration Under 20 hours per week | Parks and Recreation |
Are you an Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or Landscape Architecture student who enjoys turning field data into real plans? We're looking for someone who is technical, detail-focused, and ready to gain hands-on project experience.
What You'll Do
Support Parks and Recreation construction and improvement projects while gaining practical experience with AutoCAD, GIS, surveying, cost estimating, site plans, and utility locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed drawings, sketches, and site plans for park construction projects
  • Collect field and GIS data and maintain accurate survey notes
  • Assist with ADA inspections of park buildings, grounds, and facilities
  • Prepare rough project cost estimates and organize maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Support drafting and engineering technicians with surveying, measurements, and utility locations

What You Bring | Education & Experience
  • Currently enrolled full- or part-time in Construction, Architecture, Civil Engineering Technology, Landscape Architecture, or a related program
  • Completion of sophomore-level requirements within your major
  • Basic drafting knowledge and experience using AutoCAD
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations using algebra, trigonometry, and geometry
  • Strong organization, communication, recordkeeping, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • ArcGIS software
  • AutoCAD drafting software
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
