Job Summary
Implement programs and initiatives to facilitate student success via tutoring or classroom support. Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring. Primary responsibilities include tutoring students in the Reading and Writing courses, collaborating with faculty, tutoring services and various student support services at TCC, and serving as a point of contact in the writing center.
Essential Duties
Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to TCC students.
Conduct reading and writing presentations and orientations to various TCC courses.
Track and evaluate data on students served by the Writing/Reading Center, assess the center's progress in meeting goals, and contribute to improvement by identifying actionable insights from collected data.
Facilitate student success strategies in reading, writing, english and other various courses through embedded classroom support.
Manage day-to-day front desk and tutoring coverage of part-time in the world language lab.
Minimum Qualifications
Require Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
1 year Experience in tutoring or academic support in English or higher education related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in tutor training programs such as ITTPC College Reading and Learning Association or National Tutoring Association.
