We are looking for:Contingent Licensed Veterinary Technician

Shift: 4:00 PM-2:00 AM | Wed-Thu

What you'll do:
  • Record and deliver organized rounds, discusscasesand gatheradditionalinformation as necessary
  • Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment
  • Partner with patient care teamregardingtreatment plans, client communication and nursing care concerns
  • Provide client education including, but not limitedto:home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
  • Assist DVM with patient assessment,treatmentand procedures
  • Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
  • Induce andmonitorgeneral anesthesia and sedation procedures
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing
Who you are:
  • State Registered Veterinary Technician licenserequired
  • Prior veterinary experiencerequired,previousemergencyexperience desired
  • Proficientincalculations(drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
  • Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation:
This position has an initial hiring range of $24.00 to $40.00 per hour based on skillset and experience.
We support our caregivers with lucrative shift differentials:
-Hours worked between 8pm and 11:59pm = base pay + $2/hour
-Hours worked between 12am to 7:59am = base pay + $3/hour
-Hours worked on Weekends (day or night) = base pay +$1/hour + any applicable differential
