Job description

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including:
    • RTUs (Rooftop Units)
    • Split systems
    • Package units
    • Heat pumps
    • Exhaust fans
    • VAV systems
    • Chillers and boilers (experience preferred)
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Identify and recommend repairs, upgrades, and replacement solutions.
  • Complete service reports, work orders, and required documentation accurately.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues and repair options.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting low-voltage and high-voltage controls.
  • EPA Universal Certification required.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot control systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls
