Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Seasonal Land Management Technicians who enjoy working outdoors and are eager to develop hands-on experience in vegetation management. The right candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to navigate rugged terrain, and a willingness to learn plant identification and herbicide application techniques.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, ensuring that client vegetation requirements are met efficiently. If you're looking for a physically active job during the fall season while making a tangible impact on land restoration, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do:

As a Land Management Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and restoring natural landscapes by controlling invasive vegetation. Here's what the job entails:

  • Identify & Treat Invasive Plants - Use backpack sprayers and other control methods to manage noxious weeds.
  • Navigate & Work in the Field - Hike through diverse terrain to access treatment sites.
  • Work in Small Crews - Collaborate with a team to complete daily vegetation management goals.
  • Assist with Land Restoration - Participate in wildlife fencing, vegetation removal, and habitat restoration projects.
  • Adapt to Outdoor Conditions - Work in varying weather while performing physically active tasks.
  • Ride in MarshMaster machines for Wetland restoration projects.
Wage:

$19.00 Per hour

Hours:

Full-time, Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts (potential overtime available on Fridays)

Season:

06/01/2025-12/01/2025 (Estimated End Date)

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain an applicator's license (reimbursement available)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain
  • Physically able to carry a 50lb spray pack for the duration of a shift
  • Must be able to work the entire shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel as required by the job
  • Prior experience with plant identification or fieldwork preferred
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently when needed
