Job Title: House Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep)

Location: Fort Thomas, KY 41075

Employment Type: Part-time (15-20 hours/week)

Proposed Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $3035/hour, based on experience

Requirements: Able to maintain a smoke-free environment; has reliable transportation; ability to pass background check; comfortable signing NDA and contractor agreement

Proposed Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM preferred

About Our Family

We are an active family of four with two independent, athletic daughters (13 and 15) who enjoy staying busy with school and sports. One parent runs her own business, while the other works part-time from home and manages most of the day-to-day household/family flow. Our two mini Australian Shepherds are beloved members of the family, so value someone who genuinely loves and understands dogs.

Our home runs best when it feels calm, organized, and supported by someone who works proactively and quietly behind the scenes. We're looking for a part-time House Manager to step in behind-the-scenes and help with the daily flow of meals, laundry, and household organization.

  • Maintains an organized, tidy environment and excels at owning and creating household systems
  • Thrives working behind the scenes and creating order
  • Communicates clearly, checking in when needed while working independently
Key ResponsibilitiesHousehold Management & Organization
  • Create and maintain organizational systems (closets, cubbies, drawers, pantry, storage)
  • Reset and tidy rooms (load/unload dishwasher, wipe counters, vacuum high-traffic areas, etc.); ensure home is prepped for cleaning services
  • Prepare home as needed for family events, holidays, and guest stays
  • Organize and coordinate donation drop-offs
  • Support unpacking after family travel, restoring home and supplies to full reset
  • Manage seasonal and holiday dcor setup, organization, and pack-away
  • Care for indoor plants following established watering schedules
  • Retrieve and sort daily mail; discard junk and file or flag actionable/important items
  • Break down/flatten cardboard delivery boxes
Inventory Management & Errands
  • Track household inventory and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and cleaning products
  • Manage household supply lists and coordinate orders from Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.
  • Run errands as needed including grocery pickups, dry cleaning, returns, and gift shopping
Meal Planning & Preparation
  • Plan weekly family dinner menus with an emphasis on keto-leaning options
  • Grocery shop for all meal ingredients, maintaining a stocked and organized kitchen
  • Prepare and cook 4-5 healthy, family-friendly dinners per week
  • Follow dietary needs and family preferences (gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, Keto)
  • Batch prep lunches as needed
  • Clean and reset kitchen after meal prep; maintain kitchen organization
Laundry & Linen Care
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (clothing, bedding, towels)
  • Rotate bedding weekly and refresh towels on a regular basis
  • Iron or steam clothing as needed
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies
Pet Care
  • Provide daily care as needed for two mini Australian Shepherds
  • Open to occasional dog sitting during fall sports weekends, spring break, and 12 weeks in summer
  • Clean up dog waste in the yard
  • Keep pet supplies stocked and organized
Vehicle Care & Maintenance
  • Schedule and oversee oil changes and routine vehicle maintenance
  • Keep family vehicles clean, fueled, and organized
Vendor & Property Oversight
  • Schedule and supervise service providers (cleaners, landscapers, contractors, etc.)
  • Research and coordinate maintenance and repair quotes as needed
  • Oversee seasonal outdoor needs (rotating sprinklers, sweeping deck, etc.)
  • Serve as the primary household point of contact for vendors
Family Support
  • Keep teens' cubbies, gear, and sports items organized and clean
  • Open to rare occasional pickups or drop-offs for teens
Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
  • Tackle occasional deep cleaning tasks (fridge, pantry, cupboards)
  • Clean humidifiers, washing machines, and air purifiers on a regular basis
