The Laundry Attendant ensures the highest quality of the hotel's linen supply by maintaining cleanliness in compliance with company procedures and consistently meeting or exceeding company standards.
Requirements
Core Responsibilities:
  • Sort, weigh, wash, dry, iron, fold and stock guest room and Food & Beverage linen
  • Know and follow the operating functions of all equipment, reporting any damage, hazards or defective equipment to a supervisor
  • Utilize chemicals used in washing, controlling quantities of supplies as recommended by chemical supplier with approval of Executive Housekeeper
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Follow all Material Safety Data Sheet documents and management company Safety Standards

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
  • High work ethic and self-initiative
  • Regular attendance according to established guidelines
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
  • Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times

Physical Requirements:
  • Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time, as work flow is continuous throughout the shift
  • Bend, pull, stoop, squat and stretch to shake, sort, wash, dry, fold, and stack linen
  • Operate commercial laundry equipment in a safe manner
  • Work conditions could include hot and humid environments
  • Lift approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies, using safe lifting techniques
  • Push heavy carts, approximately one hundred (100) pounds
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability

Availability: Mainly Evening Schedule with rotating start time from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
