Job description

Manny's Parkside is looking for a dedicated team member to join our team in the position of Host. This position is part-time with various shift availabilities ranging from day, evening, and weekend. This position will be responsible for managing reservations and greeting/seating guests with a welcoming demeanor. 
Position Summary:
The Host position is an integral part of a restaurant kitchen team, especially in busy restaurants. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Welcome guests as they arrive, engaging with them in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements, ensuring efficient use of dining space and timely seating of guests.
  • Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate table assignments and maintain smooth service flow.
  • Provide accurate wait times and manage guest expectations during busy periods.
  • Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries, reservations, and takeout orders.
  • Assist in preparing and setting up the dining area, including arranging tables, chairs, and table settings.
  • Monitor the waiting area and notify guests when their table is ready.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
