Definition
The City of Davenport is currently seeking dynamic individuals to fill our seasonal positions in the Park Maintenance Division for the Parks and Recreation Department. This includes seasonal employees for our Parks Ambassadors, Horticulture operations, and the operation of our 40-acre Soccer Complex.

Examples Of Duties
PARK MAINTENANCE LABORER: 40 hours per week, including some weekend hours. Parks positions include: large mower operators, trim crews, janitorial crews, baseball field crew and light maintenance staff. Operates large and small mowing tractors, cleans restrooms, removes litter and performs general light maintenance. Experience in lawn care and janitorial experience preferred.
PARK AMBASSADOR: 30 - 40 hours per week, includes mostly nights and weekend hours. Parks Ambassadors serve as first point of contacts in all of our parks. Duties include meeting and greeting patrons, driving through parks to help ensure proper park usage, lock down of facilities, and other duties as necessary.
HORTICULTURE LABORER: 40 hour per week, includes weekend hours. Position will include: Horticulture planting and maintenance in beds throughout the city's parks system and property, working in Vander Veer Botanical Park and Conservatory watering, planting and weeding, maintaining Summer Theme show at the Park, cleaning the facility/park, and working closely with full time staff and other seasonal employees.PARK MAINTENANCE LABORER: 40 hours per week, including some weekend hours. Must possess a valid driver's license and steel-toed shoes for most positions.
