Job description

Part-time / Non-exempt / Pay based on experience
The Homemaker performs the combined duties of dining services (to include cook, kitchen assistant, and kitchen activities) as well as housekeeping. As cook, the Homemaker will prepare food for household meals and snacks that are healthy and appetizing and served in a timely manner, maintaining high quality standards and portion control using standardized recipes. The Homemaker assumes general responsibility for the kitchen, assists with serving resident meals, snacks, and nourishments. The Homemaker plans and facilitates activities for elders and the household that involve food preparation or other activities specific to the kitchen. The Homemaker also performs housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and neatness of household surroundings.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting or senior living, preferred
  • Ability to problem solve and have organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Ability to promote and maintain a positive attitude
