Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Behavioral Health

📍 Location:Main Campus, La Crosse, WI

👩 Department:Inpatient Behavioral Health (IBH)

🕒 Schedule:Casual/on-call position. Minimum requirement of 48 hours and at least one weekend shift per 6-week schedule period.

What You'll Do

  • Provide compassionate, trauma-informed and evidence-based care to patients experiencing acute mental health crisis.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, NPs, RNs, behavioral health specialists, CNAs, social workers, therapists, clergy, and addiction counselors.

  • Support patients through crisis stabilization, medication management, and therapeutic interventions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

What You'll Need

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)

  • Required:Active and unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Wisconsin

  • Preferred:1+ year of RN experience, ideally in mental health

  • Current Infant-Adult BLS for Health Care Providers

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
