Job Summary:
MaineGeneral is seeking a dedicated RN to join our team on 3 South, our inpatient behavioral health unit at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. This state-of-the-art unit was designed with the input of staff and patients and is a unique environment sustaining safe, innovative, and supportive care.
Job Description:
Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Alfond Center for Health, Augusta
Schedule: Full-time (36 hours/week)
Shift: Days (7a-7p)
What You'll Do:
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, admissions, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate the learning needs of the patient and/or family, and provide patient and/or family education that is appropriate to their age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Effectively delegates and communicates patient care needs to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires

Your Qualifications:
  • Active Maine RN license (or ability to obtain promptly) - required
  • 2 years of Behavioral Health experience OR 3 yearsof acute care RN experience - required
  • BLS and MOAB certification - preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
