Job description

Grand Canyon University! One of Arizona's leading institutions of higher learning. Located in the Valley of Sun in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, GCU is an institutionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University.
For over 70 years, GCU has proudly maintained its rich heritage as a teachers' college, both on campus and online. Our College of Education continues to prepare educators, school administrators and policymakers who strive to deliver quality education and help enrich lives across a variety of academic and community settings.
While GCU's College of Education is committed to nurturing your development as an educator, our dedication to your education extends beyond the classroom. We teach the spirit of servant leadership, innovation and global contribution into each program through One Foundation, our Christian Worldview.
Position Summary:
The Helios Program and Assessment Coordinator supports data collection, evaluation, reporting, and coordination for the Helios-funded RISE 360 and Canyon L.E.A.P. to Teach/alternative pathway initiatives within GCU's College of Education. This part-time role ensures accurate tracking of student participation, progression, credential attainment, and workforce placement aligned with grant outcomes, while supporting continuous improvement across educator pathways.
Working closely with college leadership, district partners, and university offices, the Coordinator helps translate program data into clear evidence of impact, ensuring accountability, sustainability, and progress toward workforce and community goals.
What You Will Do:
Grant Reporting & Assessment
  • Track and maintain Helios grant metrics, including participation, persistence, credential attainment, placement, and scholarship distribution.
  • Support preparation of Helios interim and annual reports, ensuring data accuracy and timely submission.
  • Analyze and summarize data into clear impact narratives, success stories, stakeholder communications, and actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor progress toward multi-year outcomes and support documentation for audits, evaluations, and funder communications.

Data Systems & Coordination
  • Support ongoing development and refinement of dashboards and data systems to improve tracking accuracy, usability, program decision-making, and addressing data gaps/inconsistencies.
  • Work alongside key parties to coordinate data inputs and track required participant-level data, including demographic, enrollment, persistence, credentials, voucher use, and completion indicators aligned to Helios reporting requirements.

Program & Partner Support
  • Coordinate with district liaisons to support placement tracking, workforce alignment, and employment/certification.
  • Track and report engagement in program experiences and workforce outcomes, including certification attainment, employment placement, and alignment with community-based teaching pathways

Operational & Administrative Support
  • Maintain organized digital records and accurate tracking of scholarship eligibility, awards, and disbursements in alignment with grant and institutional requirements.
  • Coordinate scheduling, communication, and logistics for evaluation, reporting, and related activities.
  • Provide general support for grant-related operations, including documentation and additional responsibilities as needed.

What You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree required; preference for education, social sciences, data analytics, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience in program coordination, assessment, data tracking, or grant-funded initiatives preferred.
  • Familiarity with educator preparation, dual enrollment, or workforce-focused programs strongly preferred.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across university and K-12 partners.
  • Must pass pre-employment background investigation.

Why work at GCU:
  • Exceptional workplace benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, a 401K savings plan
  • Generous time off plan and 11 paid holidays
  • Paid time off to volunteer in the community or at GCU sponsored events
  • Free covered parking
  • We also offer full-time employees, their spouses, and dependent children an Education Tuition Discount Program
