Job Location: Wellness Clinic Youth Center (Kittrell, NC)

Job Position: Nurse Practitioner (Contract/1099/Independent Contractor)

Job Background:

No-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps adolescents and young adults improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. The hours at the clinic fall between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Flexible scheduling. Excellent hourly contract compensation. Professional liability insurance provided.

Job Description:

Here is a list of some of the standard primary and acute care managed at the clinic;

  • hypertension, diabetes, ADHD, GERD, UTIs, URIs, STDs, sprains, allergies, wellness exams, sick visits and school physicals.
  • Collaboration with Physician

Collaboration with center's medical staff, wellness staff and substance abuse specialists as necessary.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Locums Nurse Practitioner with The Locums Company, LLC in South Kittrell, NC 27544. The Locums provider will work on-site and provide medical care to student patients in accordance with their medical specialty and expertise. We offer excellent compensation, and professional liability insurance.

Job Requirement:

  • Active and unrestricted state medical license in North Carolina state
  • Experience in providing medical care to adolescent patients, including performing medical procedures and prescribing medications
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work 7 hours per week
  • Prior experience as a locums provider is a plus
  • Valid Federal DEA license
  • Must be enrolled in NC Tracks
