Job description

Aventura at Pembrooke is now hiring a Part-Time Hairdresser (All Hair Types / Ethnic Hair Specialist)!

We are seeking a talented and compassionate Part-Time Hairdresser to join our team at our skilled nursing facility! We are looking for someone experienced in caring for and styling all hair textures and types, including ethnic and multicultural hair care needs, while creating a positive and uplifting experience for our residents.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with all hair types and textures, including ethnic hair care
  • Cosmetology license
  • Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
  • Experience working with seniors or in healthcare settings is a plus
  • Reliable and self-motivated
Responsibilities
  • Provide hair care services for residents including:
    • Shampooing & conditioning
    • Haircuts & trims
    • Roller sets, wraps, and blowouts
    • Styling for natural, relaxed, braided, curly, coily, and textured hair
    • Beard trims and basic grooming services
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of salon equipment and workspace
  • Build positive relationships with residents and staff
  • Accommodate residents with varying mobility and care needs
