Job description

The Manchester Family YMCA is currently seeking part time responsible individuals to oversee gymnasium services and activities. The pay range for this position is $13-$14 per hour.
DUTIES of a Gym Monitor
The gym monitor will be responsible for the overall gymnasium services, including special projects as assigned as well as gymnasium maintenance, inventory of equipment, and the set-up and breakdown of events. Maintaining surveillance during games, activities, and member participation is integral to this role as is facilitating seating and set up for gym rental, as necessary. It is essential that this individual build and maintain positive relationships with members and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS of a Gym Monitor
We are looking for someone who is a service oriented, role model with a member first attitude who is able to recognize and respond to unsafe situations. The ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, use a computer, telephone and related business equipment is necessary for this position. This person must be able to communicate effectively with others and must be at least 18 years of age.
