With wages starting at $17.00/hour, and increasing from there with confirmed, verifiable experience, Recreation Aides at Oaknoll play a vital role in improving and stimulating the mental and physical abilities of our residents, as well as contributing to their overall engagement and quality of life! Oaknoll is currently seeking a part-time Recreation Aide to join our recreation team. Exact hours may vary, and will include afternoons, holidays, and weekends. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, energetic, passionate about working with seniors, and willing to take initiative to engage residents with recreational opportunities. Experience working with people with dementia preferred.
Supervised by our Recreation Therapist, the Recreation Aide will:
  • Lead daily activities including exercises, trivia, cooking etc.
  • Plan and implement one-on-one activities as directed.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly activity calendars.
  • Document resident participation in department records.
