As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Guard in New York, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.

• Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations, activities, and/or unusual conditions according to site guidelines.

• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, boarding areas, waiting areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns to the appropriate contacts.

• Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify authorized access when required, and assist with directing foot traffic, visitor questions, and/or orderly movement throughout the location.

• Support public-facing operations by observing for suspicious behavior, helping to identify potential hazards or disruptions, and communicating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site representatives as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

• A guard card or license is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
