Summary:
The Design and Build Lab (DaBL) is seeking a motivated and creative undergraduate or graduate student employee to join our team as aStudent Lab Technician. Student Technicians support the daily operations of the makerspace by assisting visitors, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment. Ideal candidates will have experience or strong interest in one or more of the following areas: digital fabrication (laser cutting, 3D printing, vinyl cutting), electronics and Arduino, vector graphics design, 3D modeling, woodworking, or general prototyping. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a collaborative mindset are essential. Training will be provided for all major equipment and safety procedures.
Essential Functions:
Training and mentoring other students.
Monitoring equipment use.
Troubleshooting basic technical issues.
Organizing tools and materials.
Supporting events or workshops.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
10 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$18.40 - $20.00 per hour.
