Job Summary:

Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing graphics and layouts for proposals and other business needs as required by as required by Proposal Managers, Marketing/Business Development Managers, Manager of Proposals, senior management, and other internal clients. Responsible for designing and strategizing designs and layouts for brochures, company briefings, internal websites, fact sheets, and other deliverables. Works with various internal clients on multiple projects simultaneously toward strict deadlines. This role involves synthesizing complex, abstract ideas into concrete designs. Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions that meet clients’ requirements. Manage the Graphics Team and workload to meet all schedule milestones and deadlines. As required, the Senior Graphics Designer will support Proposal Manager and/or Senior Proposal Specialist as coordinator of proposal/qualification documents from initial issue through to final production, including a variety of proposal support roles as assigned, from logistics coordination to printing, writing, editing, and formatting. Must have ability to work to strict deadlines, effectively communicate with fellow employees, schedule/complete multiple tasks, and be flexible and comfortable working in a fast paced, results-oriented environment. 

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.  #LI-EH1

Major Responsibilities:
  • Supervises and manages the workload for the Graphics team.
  • Produces and coordinates the production of a variety of graphic designs for print and digital products, such as proposal graphics, business booklets, brochures, fact sheets, multimedia and print presentations, and logos.
  • Works closely with subject matter experts and writers to turn complex sketches into professional designs.
  • Oversees development of concepts and design templates appropriate to each document and compliant with customer requirements.
  • Utilizes AI tools to develop Graphics as required in support of proposals and deliverables, including AI tools such as Copilot, Cowork, and Claude.
  • Manages an organized work process and tracking system to ensure version control is maintained for all graphics and designs.
  • Coordinates with printers for large print production jobs.
  • Supports the maintenance of data, tools, and systems needed for preparation of M&BD and pre-proposal documents and proposals (i.e., project description databases, past performance/experience databases, previous functional write-up databases, resume databases, corporate/division/project statistics, commendation files, etc.). Assists with developing and maintaining generic proposal material and statistics.
  • Photograph and touch up business headshots as needed.
  • As needed, acts as Proposal Coordinator in preparing qualification documents, marketing materials, and proposals.
  • Performs special assignments related to proposal activities.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of graphics, design, and/or production experience or 12-14 years relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge in graphics layout, design, and production.
  • Thorough knowledge of reproduction processes and multimedia presentation processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work unpredictable schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by solicitation.
  • Ability to travel to support proposal efforts as needed preferred.
  • Ability to work/collaborate with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams of proposal and M&BD/management personnel.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adhere to style and branding guides, and proposal preparation processes.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision, with emphasis on independent creation material.
  • Diverse proposal experience, from large to small efforts for both government and commercial customers.
  • Diverse experience in large corporate organizations and small businesses.
  • Work experiences that demonstrate an understanding of business, including effective communications, team building, knowledge of personal computing technologies, and application of internet resources.
