About the Opportunity

GBP’s Graphic Design Department is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Graphic Artist to join our team at our west St. Louis County facility (near Queeny Park). This role is a production-focused position centered on the layout and assembly of our national publications.

The ideal candidate enjoys a structured, "flow-state" environment where accuracy and efficiency are paramount.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Publication Layout: Drag-and-place placement of advertisements into established book layouts.
  • Design Elements: Create and update publication covers and business cards.
  • Technical Execution: Utilize PC-based platforms to manage digital files and print-ready layouts.
  • Deadline Management: Ensure all books move to production according to strict seasonal schedules.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high attention to detail to ensure ad placement matches client specifications.

Requirements:

  • Software: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with a specific mastery of InDesign.
  • Platform: Comfortable working in a PC/Windows environment.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
  • Location: This is a 100% in-office position.

Hours & Compensation:

  • Schedule: Part-time (25 hours total). Candidates work a set schedule between the window of 7:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday–Friday.
    • Note: Most of our team chooses an early start to conclude their day before 4:00 pm.
    • Daily Breakdown: 4.75 hours of production, 15-minute break (paid).
  • Starting Rate: Missouri Minimum Wage.
