Job description

Job Title: Outside Golf Operations

Job Status: Part Time – Non-Exempt

Department: Chevy Chase Country Club

Primary Work Location: Chevy Chase Country Club

Reports To: Golf Operations Manager

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Position Summary                                                                                                                              
Outside Golf Operations Associates are responsible for achieving organizational performance goals through active participation in the sales programs and individual sales of the organization’s programs.  Day-to-day implementation of the guest service programs and maximizing guest retention. Golf Operations Associates are also expected to act, at all times, in a manner that routinely anticipates and exceeds the needs and expectations of the guest.
Essential Job Duties                                                                                                                              
•    Meet and greet each and every guest when they enter the property and when they finish their round.
•    Provide concierge style services to all guests that visit Traditions in a manner that consistent with the established policies.
•    Maintain a fleet of golf carts in a manner that is consistent with established policies.  Ensure that the cart storage area is clean and orderly at all times.
•    Organize and start golfers out for the day, providing them with all the information that need for their round. 
•    Observe, maintain and document the speed of play throughout the day.
•    Ensure that the area around the golf shop and cart staging area is kept clean and orderly, and all receptacles (trash and cigarette) are emptied.
•    Will be responsible for the management of outings, tournaments and special events.
•    Provide exceptional guest service as established within the service and loyalty programs and continuously improve the exceptional guest service program in coordination with the Golf Operations Manager.
•    Assist the inside operations staff as needed.
•    Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform other duties as required.
•    Work as scheduled.
•    Performs the job safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
•    Participates in required training and safety programs as established by the Wheeling Park District.
•    Supports and exhibits the organizational values of respect, communication, integrity, innovation, recognition and appreciation, continuous learning, fun, empowerment and people.
•    Performs special projects or other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Some High School, High School Degree is preferred. Minimum of six months experience in a service and/or sales environment, preferably in golf or resort operations.

Skills and Abilities
Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time arrival.
Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
CPR/AED certification or be able to earn within 60 days.
Knowledge
Knowledge of golf course operations preferred.

Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
Specific vision abilities are required and include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
May need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions
Most activities will be performed indoors.
Driving to other park facilities will require the worker to be outside.
Employee may be exposed to cleaning agents and toner chemicals.
