Woodhill Country Club is a family-oriented, year-round, private country club that serves as the primary social and recreational center for members by providing high quality activities, facilities, and services.


Job Summary: Lifeguards ensure the safety of all members and guests in and around the pool area at all times. This position is instrumental in ensuring an exceptional member experience from the moment they enter the pool area by providing a safe, friendly, and fun environment for members and their guests.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have valid Lifeguarding/CPR/First Aid certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to solve challenges in a variety of situations.
  • Willingness to follow procedures and specific direction.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role and environment preferred - lifeguarding experience not required, willing to train.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety.
  • Safeguards and regulates conduct of pool patrons. Enforces pool policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Enthusiastically greets members and guests when on the pool deck rotation.
  • Assists in the proper maintenance and sanitary upkeep of the pool, pool area, and locker rooms.
  • Administers care to swimmers' minor injuries (i.e. small cuts, bug bites, bumps and bruises).
  • Tests water quality in pool and maintains appropriate records.
  • Attends in-service training.
  • Performs emergency rescues and completes appropriate follow-up procedures, including the proper use of equipment in the performance of first aid.

Work Environment:

  • The lifeguard performs their work at the pool. This position is performed in outdoor weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to chemicals, insects, bodily fluids, and fumes.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $15-16/hour depending on experience.
