Working in golf services can be special due to the combination of the unique environment, passionate community, variety of tasks, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. 


POSITION HIGHLIGHTS


Anticipated Hours/Week: Up to 40 but part time positions and flexible hours available

Employment Dates: Positions available April through November   

Compensation: $10 per hour plus cash gratuities distributed weekly

Benefits: Meals provided (Lunch and/or Dinner) while working. Playing privileges on select Mondays.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Duties shall include but not be limited to:
  • Providing the highest level of service to Club members and guests. 
  • Working together with the Professional Staff, Caddie Manager, Practice Area staff, Starters and Rangers to deliver an exceptional Total Golf Experience to members and their guests.
  • Registration of all golfers on a daily basis to include: accurate records of member 
  • names, guest names, caddie and golf car usage, course played, weather and any other information deemed pertinent.
  • Maintaining current files of all golf play in an orderly fashion to include: posting of all billing information in the computer system for guest and golf car charges as well as tracking of guest visits in the ForeTees program.
  • Coordinating the rental of golf equipment with the Professional Staff.
  • Upholding club policies as necessary, i.e. dress code, caddie and golf car usage, etc.
  • Assisting members who are in need of a game; arrange pairings keeping in mind
  • personalities and abilities.
  • Administering all golf car usage to include advising members of any restrictions pertaining to their usage and working alongside the golf car staff to ensure adequate supply of clean and properly charged golf cars on a daily basis.
  • Ensuring the proper cleaning and storage of members' golf equipment.
  • Maintaining a relationship with the membership and their guests that is professional, friendly, attentive, fair and respectful.
  • Providing the same degree of service to every member and guest.
  • Maintaining a professional image in dress, grooming and demeanor.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors and involve physical strength and endurance. 
  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather.
  • Position requires walking and standing for long periods of time. 
  • Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuverer between functions occurring simultaneously. 
  • Requires communicating effectively with members, guests, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to drive golf carts and use maintenance related equipment.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. 
  • May also experience exposure to the following: carbon monoxide fumes from equipment, various insects and native/domestic animals, potentially damaging noise levels, flying golf balls, and a variety of dirt, mud, dust, pollen, approved pesticides, and tobacco smoke.
