Job Summary
The Geology Program is seeking part-time, adjunct faculty to teach introductory, undergraduate human/physical geography and GIS lectures and laboratory courses depending upon specific qualifications. Part-time faculty are critical to the mission of the Geography Program to meet the course demands of UWG students. Part-time positions may or may not be available every semester; part-time faculty are hired as needed. However, part-time opportunities are typically available each semester.
Responsibilities
To teach introductory human/physical geography and GIS lecture and/or laboratory courses (e.g., GEOG 1013, 1112, 1112L, 1113, and 1113L; GEOG/ENVS 2202 and 2202L).
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 18 graduate level course credits in geography, environmental science, or related discipline.
• Candidates must provide information/references that support teaching effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Applications and credentials (e.g., M.S. in Geography or Environmental Science) should correlate with the specific areas of application
• Teaching experience in lecture and laboratory settings
