How to get into game producer?

To become a game producer, candidates typically need experience in game development, project management, or related fields, along with strong organizational and communication skills. A background in game design, programming, or art can be helpful, and familiarity with project management tools like Jira or Trello is often required. Part-time game producers and other game development roles often have the option to work remotely, especially with the increased use of collaboration tools like Slack, Jira, and cloud-based platforms. However, the ability to work from home depends on the company's policies, project requirements, and the need for in-person collaboration or testing. Many roles require strong communication skills and familiarity with remote work tools to ensure effective coordination.

Game producers' salaries vary based on experience, location, and company size, but on average they earn between $60,000 and $120,000 annually. Role Overview

Mitchell & Ness is seeking a seasonal Part time Content Producer to support the execution of brand-appropriate social content across Meta, TikTok, and X. This individual will operate as a utility player across content, capable of shooting, editing, and supporting production as needed. The ideal candidate has strong creative instincts, a deep appreciation for sports and the culture beyond the game, and a clear understanding of what resonates across modern social platforms. Must be local to Los Angeles or Orange County, California.

how you will make an impact:

Social Content Execution

  • Execute platform-native content for Meta, TikTok, and X
  • Capture and produce short-form video, photography, and graphic-based content
  • Translate product drops, cultural moments, and brand beats into timely social content
  • Maintain a clear distinction between social-first content and campaign creative while preserving brand consistency

Creative Production (Hands-On)

  • Shoot and edit content across formats including Reels, TikTok, and still photography
  • Execute light graphic design for social assets when needed
  • Deliver assets formatted for social, email, and web

Production Support

  • Assist with sourcing crew, talent, and locations
  • Support pre-production logistics including shot lists, schedules, and coordination
  • Assist on set when required

Content Operations Support

  • Assist with rapid-turn content needs tied to cultural moments
  • Support asset organization and general content workflows
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Content, Social, and Marketing

what you bring to the team:

  • 1-3 years experience in content production, social, or creative roles
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop; After Effects a plus)
  • Strong understanding of social-first content and platform behaviors
  • Experience shooting and editing in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to operate across multiple disciplines: shooting, editing, and production support
  • Strong taste level with an understanding of sport, fashion, and culture
  • Deep interest in sports culture, streetwear, and media
  • Strong creative instincts with a bias toward execution
  • Resourceful, organized, and adaptable
