Responsibilities Partner with management to provide data analysis, advanced production web reports, and develop applications to improve production metrics. Understand and properly utilize area technical language. Create and deliver effective presentations. Lead interdepartmental meetings for simple to complex issues and projects. Mentor others and clearly articulate complex ideas and issues to a broad audience. Establish trusting relationships across local and global partner groups. Participate in or lead global alignment meetings. Drive improvement solutions that meet the needs of Micron's customers. Develop a thorough understanding of how process changes in one activity affect the function of other groups. Partner with the Operations team by doing regular rotations in the Remote Operations Center (ROC). Partner with Operations Development Engineering (ODE) teams to address OI cases. Leverage and share global OI best-known methods (BKMs). Support 24/7 OI systems when on call. Design and coordinate projects with several different departments. Identify, innovate, design and lead improvement efforts or special projects related to cycle time reduction, continuous improvement projects, worldwide projects. Identify project requirements and plan tasks to meet needed dates. Understand Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) layout including being able to analyze congestion and slow delivery times. Provide metrics and reporting that drive improving AMHS operation efficiency and delivery times. Optimize tool-to-tool delivery times and provide on-time delivery. Deliver pre/post metrics for OI enhancements/changes. Follow the OI testing cycle (DEV/BETA/PROD) for new software releases to ensure quality implementation. Apply industrial engineering concepts to line management, scheduling and production planning. Use analytical tools/data to drive decisions. Identify optimization opportunities for the fab and implement innovative solutions. Automate Fab processes to reduce variability and eliminate waste. Develop, maintain, and improve scheduling and business rules. May telecommute part time. Qualifications Master's degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering or related field. Manufacturing Science, including scheduling, inventory management, and capacity planning. Database management methods and techniques including SQL. Scripting, programming and visualization tools: Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, or C#. Snowflake, Visual Studio, GIT, and Azure DevOps. Application of data visualization, data collection, data analytics warehousing systems, and data cleansing.
