Description
Oxford College of Emory University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor of French to begin August 1, 2025.Teaching responsibilities include 1-2 in-person undergraduate courses per semester in first- and second-year French language. This is a part-time position, and does not include benefits
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Minimum of MA in French, PhD preferred, with previous experience teaching French language courses.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience as the instructor of record for in-person undergraduate courses in French, with demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
One of Emory University's four schools partnering in undergraduate education, Oxford College provides 975 first- and second-year students of high academic profile an intensive liberal-arts program for the first two years of their Emory bachelor's degree.
Application Instructions
To apply, candidates should submit a cover letter, CV, and evidence of teaching effectiveness (i.e. sample syllabi and/or evaluations), and the names and contact information for two references who can speak to the candidate's experience or promise for teaching. The cover letter should address the candidate's qualifications for the position as well as their interest in working at a small liberal arts college.
