Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our cleaning team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for our residents.

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including fixtures, tiles, and mirrors.
  • Dust and polish furnishings, fixtures, and ledges throughout the facility.
  • Clean windows and mirrors to ensure streak-free, clear surfaces.
  • Maintain floor cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, and buffing as appropriate for different floor types.
  • Vacuum, shampoo, and deodorize carpets according to established schedules and as needed.
  • Clean walls and ceilings, including removal of cobwebs and other debris.
  • Apply appropriate cleaning solutions to remove dirt, dust, and grease from various surfaces.
  • Empty trash receptacles, dispose of waste properly, and replace bin liners.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional cleaning experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions and adhere to safety protocols
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Experience working in facilities for older adults or retirement communities is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning chemicals
