Job description
The Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the nightly financial operations of HallOVeen and the Magical Forest by ensuring the accurate processing, reconciliation, and safeguarding of cash and other financial transactions. Working with a high degree of independence, this role plays a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting operational efficiency, and upholding internal cash handling and accounting procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. This part-time seasonal position requires open evening availability throughout the event season.

There are evening hours and weekend responsibilities with this position that may require extended hours.
This is a seasonal position from approximately October 2026 to January 2027, utilized to support the Magical Forest.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage cash operations, including the processing of cash receipts, recording of revenue and receivables, and reconciliation of cash flow to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Perform additional accounting, financial, and administrative duties as assigned to support departmental and operational needs
- Assist cashiers with troubleshooting issues, as needed.
- Provide exemplary customer service to patrons of the Magical Forest.
- Prepare cash revenue deposits based on downloaded reports from the following systems - NCR Aloha and Interactive.
- Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately, as mandated by state law.
- May be assigned other duties as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not directly supervise others. This position may work alongside volunteers who are overseen by the Event's department leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Required: Two (2) years' work experience in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or related field.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
- Preferred: Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
