Job Summary:
This role involves planning and conducting practice sessions, developing players' skills, and instilling values of sportsmanship and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions focusing on skill development, and physical conditioning.
- Teach fundamentals, including proper techniques.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture.
- Manage team logistics, including scheduling practices, matches, and transportation.
- Monitor and evaluate player progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Ensure all players understand and adhere to the rules and regulations of the sport.
- Maintain inventory of equipment and ensure it is in good condition.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and the athletic department.
- Foster academic success and personal growth in student-athletes.
- Uphold the school's values and ensure the well-being and safety of all team members.
Administrative and Communication Duties:
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and the athletic department regarding schedules, expectations, and team needs under the direction of the head coach.
- Help ensure all team members meet academic and eligibility requirements under the direction of the head coach.
- Manage the rosters, attendance, schedule, and budget, including ordering uniforms, equipment, and supplies under the direction of the head coach.
- Understanding of Google Suite for administrative duties is preferred.
