The Highlands at Harbor Springs is seeking energetic, guest-focused Servers to join our team. This is a seasonal, full-time or part-time position. Servers ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing excellent service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and assisting with any guest needs. Openings are available for morning (A.M.) or evening (P.M.) shifts. All candidates must be available to work weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet guests, making them feel comfortable and attended to
  • Inform guests of specials and menu updates
  • Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately
  • Make menu recommendations and upsell items using suggestive selling techniques
  • Answer questions about ingredients, preparation, and food origins
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift
  • Maintain clean and organized service areas
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests
  • Prepare final bills, process payments, and assist with table clearing and resetting

Secondary Responsibilities
  • Assist fellow servers and support overall team operations as needed
  • Provide information about The Highlands and surrounding areas
  • Handle other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
  • 18 years or older
  • ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
