Position Overview
The School of Continuing Education and Professional Development invites applications for a part-time instructor to teach workforce and professional development courses in Healthcare and Wellness. The instructor will educate adult learners on topics promoting health, wellness, and preventive care.
What you will be doing
  • Teaches non-credit courses in healthcare, allied health, and wellness
  • Prepares adult learners for entry-level positions or further study in the health professions
  • Designs and conducts courses on various health and wellness topics
  • Provides evidence-based information and practical strategies for healthy living
  • Engages students through interactive discussions and activities
  • Assesses student knowledge and provide feedback to support their learning goals
  • Maintains accurate records of attendance and participation
  • Designs and delivers instruction in health-related topics aligned with wellness and public health
  • Prepares students for certification or career entry where applicable
  • Maintains compliance with professional and regulatory standards
  • Utilizes case studies and real-world examples in instruction
  • Assesses student learning using practical and theoretical assessments
  • Collaborates with coordinators to ensure curriculum alignment
  • Maintains records of student attendance and outcomes

What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Nursing, Nutrition, or related field
